The work lines to be development together with the PAHO are focused on strengthening public health actions facilitating treatment of congenital Chagas disease cases; sustaining projects directed to eliminate vector transmission of Trypanosomacruzi at home; and comprehensively addressing the issue of mother-to-baby transmission of infectious diseases in the Great Chaco Region of Argentina, including HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Chagas disease.
POHA’s objective is to lead strategic efforts for the cooperation between its Member States –which Mundo Sano is involved in- and other partners to promote equity and fairness in health care, battle against diseases and improve the quality of life and life expectancy in the Americas.
We celebrate this new step forward to improve the reality of people affected by neglected tropical diseases!
